1. What academic skills could you use on the job?
I can use all of the organizational skills I learned from having to keep papers in order at school because there are a lot of papers I have to have straight or they won't make sense. I also have to use a little bit of math to figure out her budget and how it can work around marketing and what's cheaper for her and yet very efficient in terms of spreading word about her business.

2. What forms of collaboration could you use in a project?
For my project I'm planning on collaborating with my mentor and all of the other employees on the ranch. I'm actually interviewing all of them, so throughout the whole project they're gonna be there. Also my mom's going to give me some help most likely, and I was hoping to talk to my art teacher and ask as to how she marketed and spread her business out.

3. What technical skills can you use at your internship?
I can use a few of my computer skills. My mentor wants me to help her with the online part of her business, so I was thinking about using the internet to market and showing her how to, so once my internship is up she can maintain marketing and have it be successful.

4. What new things can you learn while working at your site?
How to manage the financial part of a horse ranch, how to organize on a daily basis and make lessons for people fit into the schedule. How to take care of injured horses, how to feed horses on special diets, maybe even how to ride better. I really look forward to learning all of this.

5. How can you exhibit, showcase or otherwise share your work?
I could just keep all the documents on who I've interviewed, how my research has come along, and how I'm using it to market for my mentor. Basically it's all going to be on the computer, so I can just print out what the website page will look like, what the interviews said, and so on. I can also put it on my blog or DP.

6. How can your work or your skills & abilities help your company or organization?
It will help the ranch get more profit and have more people come to them for riding lessons. Since they're so far out in Pine Valley they don't get a ton of people there, which they like, because it maintains the peace a little better, but they still need more people to know that they're there. They want more people to come for lessons, trail rides, equine therapy, and so on. So I think that if I manage to market enough for them, and get the word out there well enough, then they might get a little more on the map in a sense. More noticed.
